Good afternoon,
You were previously identified as a shareholder that may be interested in incorporating technology from The Cozy system into your existing custom radiator covers.
As part of the Clinton Hill Co-Ops’ commitment to retrofit 100% of radiators with The Cozy radiator cover, in accordance with New York City’s Local Law 97, we are reaching out to schedule site surveys for the remaining custom and standard Cozy radiator covers this month. We are requesting a response from you by Friday, April 29th. Please contact us at support@radiatorlabs.com to schedule your appointment.
Next steps:
- Decide if you are interested in modifying your existing custom radiator covers to accommodate the Cozy system, or if you would prefer to opt into the ‘standard Cozy cover’ photos attached. (Note: The Co-op will pay 100% of the cost for standard Cozy’s and their installation. The shareholder is responsible for any costs that exceed that of the standard Cozy installation including the removal of existing wooden covers, Window and side trim pieces, sheetrock, and partitions that may impact the installation of the standard radiator covers and this would include any custom work).
- If you’re interested in understanding if it is possible to retrofit your custom covers with the Cozy components, contact support@radiatorlabs.com to schedule your appointment with a Radiator Labs agent to survey your radiator covers. This survey will determine the feasibility of both the custom covers and the standard Cozy’s for your apartment. If you decide to have standard Cozys installed, this appointment will ensure the correct size covers are ordered.
- For custom cover installations, shareholder’s have the option of using a carpenter already known to them or to consult and use a carpenter recommended by Radiator Labs.
- If you decide to move forward with retrofitting your custom covers to accommodate the Cozy system, Radiator Labs will collect a $400 non-refundable deposit via check or ACH payment within 5 business days of the assessment. If you are using the Radiator Labs’ carpenter, your $400 deposit will be applied to that bill.
- It is incumbent upon the resident to coordinate the removal of existing custom covers or the fabrication of the new custom covers. Radiator Labs agents will provide specifications for the Cozy components to the shareholder’s carpenter for inclusion in the custom covers.
- If the decision is to proceed with a standard Cozy installation, please confirm this with Radiator Labs. The removal of current custom covers is the responsibility of the shareholder and must be performed before installation of the standard Cozy. Radiator Labs will contact residents when scheduling installations.
Thank you for your prompt reply, prior to April 29, 2022.
Best Regards,
The Radiator Labs Support Team
